Years of Experience:

Lee has been full-time in the auction, liquidation, and appraisal industry since 1993 concentrating on industrial and commercial machinery and equipment as well as commercial real properties. Lee founded and led his own firm and has also served as a regional manager, project manager, and account executive with several national asset management firms. He has extensive experience in the valuation and remarketing of a very wide range of equipment types. Lee’s auction activities have centered on commercial and industrial business closures, farm machinery and construction equipment dispersals, and commercial real estate. He has performed hundreds of machinery and equipment appraisals for a broad range of uses, serving major financial institutions, regional lenders, leasing companies, professional service firms, manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers.

Responsibilities:

In the appraisal practice, Lee utilizes his many years of experience in order to provide guidance and oversight to the valuation process. He works directly with our clients to ensure that Great American Group’s appraisal services meet or exceed their expectations. Lee networks with commodity-specific advisors, oversees the valuation process, and reviews the final work product. He also serves the auction group in new business development, valuation due diligence, and as an auctioneer.

Accomplishments:

Lee is the 2006 North Carolina Grand Champion Auctioneer and competes on an international level at the annual International Auctioneers Contest sponsored by the National Auctioneers Association. He is currently serving a second term on the Board of Directors of the Auctioneer Association of North Carolina and serves on several National Auctioneers Association committees including Government Relations and Long-Range Planning. Lee proudly served his country in the United States Army and National Guard.

Education:

Lee attended the University of Kentucky earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics and Financial Management. He also attended Loyola University of Chicago and St. Joseph College Seminary. Lee is a graduate of the Missouri Auction School and Weikel Auction Institute and currently holds an auctioneers licenses and real estate brokerage licenses in several states. He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), South Carolina Auctioneers Association (SCAA) and the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina (AANC). Lee is a graduate of the Certified Auctioneers Institute at Indiana University and holds the organization’s CAI designation. Further, he has presented and participated in several continuing education seminars sponsored by the NAA and AANC.
